Fort Branch Civil War Site
A significant Civil War site overlooking the Roanoke River.  Fort Branch is the best-preserved earthwork fortification east of the Mississippi.

Garysburg United Methodist Church
Built in 1849 and is listed on the National Register of Historical Places. The church was used as a hospital during the Cival War. The cemetery lacated on the church grounds has Civil War grave markers.
