Confederate War Memorial
A memorial to Confederate soliders located near the historic Currituck Courthouse.
 
 
Corolla Chapel
The chapel was built in 1885 and served the Community until 1958 and is now a popular wedding site.  Many visitors come to see the pelican altar window and hear its story.
 
 
Cupola House
Built in 1758 for Frances Corbin, an agent for Lord Granville, one of the eight Lords Proprietors. Gardens restored from 1769 Sauthier Map of Edenton.  For over two and a half centuries, the Cupola House has stood watch from the north shore of Edenton Bay. It was built in 1758 by Francis Corbin, land agent for John Carteret, Earl of Granville.
 
 
Currituck County Historic Jail & Courthouse
Jacobean brick building 32' X 20', with a thirty-two inch brick wall.  Built in 1790, it is one of the oldest jails in North Carolina.  The original Courthouse was built in 1723; present courthouse was built prior to 1869.
 
 
Davenport Homestead Heritage Day
Held the first Saturday in June, this annual celebration is a full day of activities with exhibits and demonstrations of old time ways.
