One of the region’s most popular destinations. With 40 acres of land along the Currituck Sound, the park is the perfect place for outdoor activities. Kayaking, fishing, and crabbing.
In addition, there is a covered picnic pavilion perfect for enjoying a meal by the water or for viewing one of the area’s spectacular sunsets. The park is also home to some of the area’s beautiful historic sites, including the Currituck Beach Lighthouse and the restored Whalehead Club, as well as being the home to the newly built Outer Banks Center for Wildlife Education. The park grounds are open from dawn to dusk.
